The government of Punjab has announced the Ehsaas Bahimat Buzurg Program 2022 Registration has been started from 8th October 2021. After starting the registration process through the new launch program Bahimat Buzurg Program, all the old age senior citizens will be facilitated through Social Pension with Rs. 2000 by the Punjab Government Senior citizens will be able to get a stipend of Rs. 2,000 per month.
Under the Bahimat Buzurg Program, Rs 2,000 per month will be given to beneficiaries with a poverty score below 20. In the beginning, Rs 2 billion was allocated for the Program spearheaded by the Punjab Social Protection Authority (PSPA), and it will benefit 125,000 people in Punjab. They are not in receipt of other social assistance programs.
Chief Minister Punjab and Chairperson Ehsaas Punjab Program Sardar Usman Buzdar inaugurated the Bahimat Buzurg Program under Punjab Social Protection Authority. Addressing a function held on Friday, Punjab Chief Minister Usman Buzdar said that the initial amount of Rs. 2 billion would be distributed by the Punjab government to 150,000 senior citizens through Bahimat Buzurg Program Cards.
Bahimat Buzurg Program 2022 – Eligibility Criteria
Only older people living below the
poverty line of 18, 16, and 30 will be included in this Bahimat Buzurg Program,
while only one person in the family will be eligible.
Punjab Chief Minister Usman Buzdar said
that deserving senior citizens aged 65 years and above across Punjab would be
given a monthly stipend of 2,000 rupees.
Women will be given priority in the program. In the absence of a woman, her elderly husband will be entitled to a stipend.
